Preparing to Grow
a Greener Future

Our Upcoming Tree Planting and Community Empowerment Project

At Kenpack Limited, we believe that the future is planted today.
We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of our Tree Planting and Community Engagement Initiative — a transformative project designed to empower smallholder farmers, restore Kenya’s forest cover, and create sustainable livelihoods.

This journey is about to begin, and we are inviting communities, partners, and stakeholders to be part of this exciting new chapter.

Rooted in Community, Grown with Purpose

The upcoming project will see Kenpack Limited working directly with smallholder farmers in high-rainfall areas such as Bomet and Kericho counties.
Through this initiative, farmers will receive:

  • Free high-quality eucalyptus seedlings
  • Agronomic support and technical training
  • A guaranteed market for their timber when the trees mature

By dedicating a portion of their land to sustainable forestry, farmers will have an opportunity to:

  • Diversify their income
  • Improve soil health
  • Enhance long-term land productivity

This is more than tree planting — it’s about building resilience, unlocking economic opportunities, and safeguarding the environment for generations to come.

Collaboration with a Leading Local University

To ensure the success of the project, we are partnering with a respected local university recognized for its leadership in research, innovation, and environmental sustainability.

Together, we plan to:

  • Establish a demonstration botanical garden at the university to showcase best practices in sustainable forestry
  • Provide farmers and communities with ongoing training, technical advice, and monitoring
  • Blend scientific research with real-world impact, ensuring that every seedling planted contributes to a lasting legacy

This partnership reflects our belief that collaboration between private enterprise, academia, and the community is key to achieving meaningful change.

Advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Our project is aligned with several critical UN Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring that our local actions contribute to global progress:

UN SDG How Our Project Will Contribute
SDG 1: No Poverty Empowering farmers with sustainable and profitable forestry ventures.
SDG 13: Climate Action Planting trees to capture carbon and combat climate change.
SDG 15: Life on Land Restoring degraded lands and boosting Kenya’s forest cover.
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals Uniting business, academia, and communities for a shared mission.

We are committed to making a real difference — not just for today, but for the future.

Planting Seeds of Hope: The Journey Begins

We are on the cusp of a remarkable journey — one where farmers become foresters, land is restored to vitality, and communities reap the rewards of sustainability.

The groundwork is being laid, the partnerships are being forged, and the vision is coming to life.
In the coming weeks, as we break ground on the first demonstration sites, we look forward to working closely with farmers, local leaders, and stakeholders to bring this dream to reality.

Stay tuned for updates — and join us as we prepare to grow a greener, stronger, and more resilient future.
